Messing around with my scraps

I created this card for a sketch challenge for the CTMH BB, it was a fun, creative spot in my day. The color combo was inspired by some yummy paper by Fancy Pants. The background is created with the emerging color technique. (I must post a tutorial on that one someday. Hmmmmm...)

Smart Storage!

I love these cubes from Target. They're even on sale this week so I just "had" to get another one. Here's the four-drawer one, they're great for storing photos... or anything else for that matter.

You can purchase these dividers to put inside the 3-drawer cubes. See what I've done with one of my drawers below!

Look how cool these are for storing my inkpads! They hang out a bit in the front, but all the easier for "grab-and-go!"

Can't wait to put ALL my inkpads in here. My old cropper hopper worked well for years, but it's really starting to look a little worn out, and the shelves are sagging from the weight of the new style inkpads.

DAH-ling, it's cold outside!

Chilly Chickies

The kids wouldn't come outside this morning, even with a new layer of fresh snow, perfect for a snowman. Well... snow woman to be exact. I started this glamour girl and by the time the girls peeked out the window she was pretty much done. Helps to have lots of art supplies on hand when you're making anything. A little black and red acrylic paint for her face and she's the talk of the block!

Decisions, Decisions

It never ends, does it? The mountains of laundy. It's always there, waiting... making me feel guilty if I don't keep up.

But, I'd much rather make something pretty. Started to alter an adress book for my dear sweet Mother-in-Law, and it's calling me to finish it. Well, maybe I'll just slip into my studio after one more load of whites....

Just got the February 07 issue of Papercrafts with my art inside. I made three things for them in this issue. This card is on their website too -- check it out! Love how they photograph the artwork, they always do a fabulous job!

Work in Progress

Well, this is it!
My first post on my brand-spankin' new blog. Have patience with me, I'm learning as I go. This is my forum for news about Close To My Heart, my business and my family... enjoy!
Tis the Season
The kids started Christmas break today, so I have a noisy, happy household. Just a little snow fell overnight, so it's looking like a winter wonderland outside. Can't get the song out of my head, "It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas."
