Usually birthdays for adults are no big deal in my household. A card and cake from Albertson's, sometimes out to dinner at Applebees. All good stuff, but nothing out of the ordinary. But this year was extra special. My husband rented an itty bitty float plane (did I mention he's a pilot?) and we flew from Hayden Lake to Lake Coeur d'Alene. Landed on the water and taxied over to a waterfront restaraunt. Many people arrive at this restraurant by boat, but we arrived in STYLE! Had dinner on the outdoor deck, then climbed back into the plane and took off into the sunset. How's that for romantic? James racked up some serious points with this event. Luckily I have until January to figure out what to do for his birthday. Somehow I don't think a cake and card are going to do.
Lake Coeur d'Alene, Idaho. This is beautiful country!
