I have a thing about containers. Anything that holds stuff. Probably some kind of attempt to override my perpetually unorganized untidy-ness. I'm figuring if I have enough handy-dandy super-cute containers, everything I own will magically hop in and make my life perfect.
Bags hold stuff, yes indeedy. I love having lots of them. These are perfect for toting stuff to the beach, or groceries home from the store. And it doesn't hurt that they're super-cute, right?
I sewed these one up in a jiffy with the tutorial here. They are reversible, so I can choose "mild" or "wild", depending on my mood for the day. I also really like the longer handles, enough to sling up on your shoulder but not hang way down below your hip. Couldn't be easier, and even with the splurge on these beautiful batik fabrics I ended up spending less than $10 for two bags.

These are great. I just picked up some "yarn type stuff" to crochet a bag similar to that design. I too like to have bags for storing stuff in. I have yet to see anything hop in it on it's own, but I will let you know the minute it happens. grins
Cute bags! Love that batik fabric. And what a great idea to make you own sturdy bags to take to the grocery store.
Tresa, these bags are fabulous! I love boxes and bags. These are great!
She stamps, she makes video tutes, she sews dresses, she paints furniture, and makes bags! Impressive!
