You should HEAR my house. It's quiet. Very, very quiet. I can't believe this lack of sound. You see, I've been a stay-at-home mom for (gasp!) 17 years, 7 months. Not that I'm counting. I'm still at home, but as of this week, all of my kids are in school for the day. I saw this coming when my youngest entered kindergarten, but it's still a bit of a shock. But don't weep for me. See, I'm not wandering the house with nothing to do. I love it when they get off the school bus and the house is full of chaos and noise, but these 6 hours a day are mine, all mine.
I even have time to catch up on scrapbooking. So I created these pages of last year's first day of school. You can click on the picture to make it bigger. I give up on trying to figure out how to show off a two page layout on blogger and make it look good. Drat.
But how about some nice close-ups? That will do.
These new chipboard buttons from Close to My Heart are adorable. Love the mushroom!
I love "rolling" my stamps in a secondary color for a two tone effect. Don't the leaves look great?

What an awesome layout! I'm jealous of your time alone! Being a teacher I never have a day off to myself.
Great layout. Love the ribbon, and of course the two tone stamping on the leaf. Great job!

I left an award for you on my blog! I love your work!!
Lovely as always!
Don't you just love the Twitterpated papers? I love your layout. I just may have to case it or use some of your ideas for the layouts of our Matthew's school days of Kindergarten. Great job!! Hope to see you post more!!
