Almost 18

Can't believe this beautiful girl of mine is going to be 18 next week. We've had our share of drama, as every mom of teen girls will sympathize. Maybe that's why I found it important to create this tribute to the goofy side of Melissa. Gee, I wonder where she gets it from?



The crumpled paper edge is so easy to create when you run a wet paintbrush along the edge first.


I'm really digging the Top Coats embellishments. They're flexible clear die-cuts, with rockin' printed designs. See that blue behind the stars? Well, it's a Top Coat. Perfect spot to tone down the busy background enough to make the stars (cut from the background paper)jump right out at you. Bitty sparkles add some glam. Paper pack used for this layout is the new You Rock.
