I created four banners for a year-round theme. Below is the spring banner, I'll be showing the summer, fall and winter ones in following posts.
Bloom Banner for Operation Smile Silent Auction
Sunday, July 11, 2010
Close to My Heart just wrapped up their national convention and for the 2nd year they held a silent auction to raise money for their primary charity, Operation Smile. I was honored to participate again this year. I wanted to make something that would really wow the convention attendees, I hope I succeeded.

I couldn't be there in person for the auction, but I've heard from a few sources that my donation raised enough money to almost pay for one operation through Operation Smile. I'm so thankful for Close to My Heart to offer this opportunity to make a difference in a child's life.

Well, one things for sure! You've totally "Wowd" me!!
WOW! That's for sure. Whatever they paid, it was worth every penny!
so pretty. I haven't tried one of these yet, but if you have a tut on it i would love to see it and see how they are made.
Thanks Leslie! These banners are one-of-a-kind, for the consultant who won them at the auction, so there won't be a tutorial on them. But don't worry, I make banners all the time and will have a tutorial on another one some day, on youtube or ustream.
That is beautiful! I have been wanting to do another one since it is no longer spring! I love the spring one we made a CU! I am going to try my hand a summer one using the techniques you taught us this week!
OMG! Tresa, your garland is sooo pretty and cute! Fantastic work!

Your artwork is STUNNING Tresa! I am a CTMH consultant and have had the pleasure of your teaching in person at past conventions. I am in awe of you and your talent. Thank you so much for sharing your "how to's" and your talent with everyone! I have made several of your gift card cupcakes and they were a BIG hit! Thanks again! I am excited to see the other seasons of the banners.
I forgot to say my name is Heidi Berglund and I am from Arizona. I am on Jody Peck's team.
