From two pages to TEN! All on one double page spread. How did I do that little bit of magic? With Flip Flaps, of course!
The base pages, shown above are 12x12. The pattern is “Charmed” from the new Close To My Heart how-to book, Magic. Papers and Stickease are from the Hooligans collection.
Over the base pages I’ve layered a set of Flip Flaps. You may have watched the video I created using the original size of 4x6 flip flaps and a 9x9 page protector. Bad news… the 9x9 page protectors have been discontinued. Good news… Close to My Heart introduced a new larger size of 12” flip flaps, in addition to the smaller ones. Perhaps they saw my video and thought “good idea! We should make them in more sizes!” Even more good news, the price is fantastic! $3.95 for 8 of the large size, 15 of the small size.
Ready for the cool part? Pictured above is the left page, with the flaps extended. I love how the little monster party just added an extra friend on the right flap.
Below is the right page, with flaps extended. The Flip Flaps have self-adhesive strips that allow you to place your flap anywhere, directly to the page protector. No need to cut into the base page protector, so easy!
Just look at all that room for extra photos and journaling! Love it!
