Friday Freebie, Stamp Set Give-away!

Friday, May 28, 2010

As promised, a give-away to celebrate the final chapter of my Adore Mini Album video tutorial. I'm so happy to be done, I'm giving away not one, but two stamp sets to one lucky reader! Here's what you can win....

The stamp sets are Tender Tags and Welcome Home. Together a $45.90 value!

I'll keep this simple, here are the rules:
1. Leave a comment and tell me something you've learned from this series, or a favorite part in the series.
2. Um... that's it. I should make this harder....

You might want to check back on Whatever Wednesday and see if you've won. That would be good.

Now, get to work on your own version of this album! I'll be hosting a contest in two weeks for an even bigger, better prize for anyone who enters a photo of their finished album. You don't need to use the same paper, or even the same album, just use mine as inspiration and get crafting!

Ta Da! The Final Chapter

Thursday, May 27, 2010

It's celebration time, I'm done with the series! Now you can finally see the entire book in the first few minutes of this video. And me dancing. Don't forget the dancing.

Things I've learned making a series:
1. It's a good way to break down a lot of information.
2. I thought it would be quick to make each episode. I was wrong. They take just as long as my "regular" videos.
3. Making a series means a lot of different manicures.

I'm so happy to finish, I'll be celebrating with a give-away. Check back on Friday for the oppportunity to win a little something from me!

Nothing but sneek (peek)

That's it for now! I'll finally get back to showing off more than just a peek, and more videos, of course!

I love glitter with shabby chic, don't you?

More Sneak Peeks

Friday, May 21, 2010

Over the next few days, I'll be showing off bits and pieces of some recent artwork. Must keep it under wraps for several more weeks. I know, I know, you want to see it all! I promise, I'd love to, but you'll have to settle for the peep show.

I spy... can you count all seven people?

They're BACK!

Silly birds, don't you know any better? Building a nest on our deck support, just inches from our outdoor eating area and barbeque, not to mention we have four noisy kids and a dog. But it must be prime real estate, because after taking off a year, the birds are back again. I was thrilled to discover the new nest, having the experience so up-close and personal is so much fun for the kids (and for me!)

This year's nest didn't contain the decorative toilet paper accents, like the last one. We haven't had our house TP'ed in a while, thankfully. So, poor Mr. and Mrs. Robin had to use flowering bushes for their decor. I didn't manage to snap a pic before the flowers wilted, but you can still see the drooping greenery around the outside of the nest, if you look carefully.

The nest is on the upper deck in our sloped back yard, so the birds aren't comletely out of their minds, since the support they built on is a good 14 feet or so off the ground. Oh look, I think you can see some little droopy white flowers.

Mrs. Robin. She's kinda mad at me. Mr. Robin will dive bomb you and hurl insults, but Mrs. Robin mostly just gives off the bad vibes and hits you with her evil eye.

Mini Scrapbook video series, the end is in sight!

Only two more pages to go on the book, can you feel the excitement?

The My Creations 3-ring binder and Veranda level 2 papers from Close to My Heart are the stars of the show, but you can also follow along with any mini album that uses removable cardstock pages, or create your own if you have a binding system (like bind-it-all) or use a hole punch with rings or ribbons for the binding. Hey, I'm all about the flexibility! You can purchase any of these products on my website.

Wowzers, I'm done! (Lots of Pics!)

This book should not have taken months, I'm really not that slow. But shooting video while simultaneously designing and creating the book turned out to be my downfall. Change of plans... finish the darned thing, then shoot video after. Ahhh... why didn't I do that in the first place? I'll be getting the videos out next week, crossing my fingers I can get all the remaining pages wrapped up on the video tutorial (Disclaimer: you know me, my editing takes forever so I'm aiming for next week, but it might be longer to get the last one done).

If this is your first time seeing this book, it begins with videos part one, two, and three. The mini album is a My Creations 3-Ring binder from Close to My Heart with Veranda level two papers. The book comes with 5 tabbed pages. I have altered each of the pages with folds or cuts to include interactive elements. (Can't leave well enough alone, I guess!)

Enjoy these photos of the book, below, while I work on wrapping up the rest of the video tutorials.

Messin' with your mind.....

Sneaky Peeky

Monday, May 3, 2010

I'm working on something I can't show off entirely... yet. But I'm loving these soft springtime colors and all the embellishments so much, I just couldn't keep it to myself. So just a little peek, okay?
