Ready for some sweet eye candy? Join me and other Close to My Heart consultants for a sneak peek at projects using brand new products from the Spring/Summer Close to My Heart idea book/catalog.
The idea book/catalog will be available online for viewing on Feb. 1st. If you’re like me and prefer looking at a real book  (holding it lovingly in your hands, turning down the corners to mark your favorite pages, drawing hearts around the stamp sets you want to own), contact me to purchase a copy.
xoxo bannerHere I go making banners again. I just luv ‘em. This one uses papers from Sweetheart level 2 paper pack. Believe it or not, there are just TWO patterned papers used in this project. Close to My Heart background and texture papers are two-sided, so I’ve used both sides of the paper to really get more bang for my buck!
xoxo banner close2The Sweetheart paper is very girly with all the pink and red colors. I decided to ground the color scheme with the addition of the new Kraft cardstock, and I shabby-fied the piece with strips of raw edged burlap. Still pretty sweet, but it’s okay to hang it up in your family room too.
I’m working on a kit for this banner and hope to have it for sale here on my blog very soon, just in time for your Valentine crafting!

What I would love to get this Valentine's Day ... our local radio station is having a contest for a 2 night get-away to Victoria, BC to see Elton John live in concert. Flights, hotels and concert tickets (to a sold out show I might add!) ... this would be an amazing Valentine's present.... my name is in for the draw ... I will let you know if I win! HA!

Love your shabby-fied banner! The addition of burlap & kraft really were perfect choices! I don't remember any spectacular Valentines gifts :( But what I would really like this year is a new watch.

Ohh....I love the new floral paper and all that purple and pink.

My husband and I found out we were pregnant for the first time on Valentine's Day several years ago. It definately was a special gift!

What would I love to get this year... A dishwasher. We live in a little ranch house with no dishwasher; and with 6 in our family the sink gets piled with dishes rather quickly.

As for my best gift, that would have to be from the year 1998. My then boyfriend of 8 years FINALLY proposed to me! We were high school sweethearts and he took his sweet time, but it was well worth the wait. He planned a very romantic weekend for us and popped the question during a stop on our private horse drawn sleigh ride. I won't ever forget that moment, but better yet, we have a wonderful marriage and four beautiful children.

Thank you for the opportunity to win a great stamp set and for all your gorgeous inspiration!

Love your banner. It is always so fun to see what you come up with. My best Valentine's gift was a very simple bouquet from my hubby who hates the "Hallmark" holidays.

I would appreciate a card from my kids. Now that they are older and they aren't making them in art, it would mean a lot to me.

My most wonderful Valentine's gift was the day we took home our 2nd son from the Hospital. It also snowed that day!

Every year my husband makes us a fantastic dinner and chocolate mousse for Valentine's Day. I think that's the best present!!

I usually wrap myself up for Valentine's Day…and go scrapping!
But yes, I would prefer something cold, hard and sparkly!

Valentines Day is bitter sweet for me. I worked in Radiology at a hospital in MO and one of the perks was that immediate family got free radiology procedures. My Dad was having pain, so he got a MRI on Valentine's Day. The doctors were my friends but they had to tell me that my Dad had a tumor the size of a grapefruit that metatastised from his lungs. At the same time, I found out that I was pregnant with my daughter. They never met,but I like to think they met each other along the way. My Dad was just 57 years old. So what I'd like for Valentine's Day is for everyone to cherish the moments we have with the people we love because you never know when they may be taken away.

How about my most memorable Valentine's gift...a weed eater. At the time I was crushed as I'd been hoping for a night out, a sweet card, anything romantic. Alas, everytime I use the weed eater now, I smile and am reminded of our 1st Valentine's together.

Since I was little my dad would always bring me a box of chocolate and flowers for Valentine's day. The cutest thing is that he continues to do so, and thru my 3 pregnancies he will bring two boxes of chocolates and two dozens of flowers. Now not only he gives me chocolate and flowers but to my kids too. Every year I look forward to see my dad bring me my box of chocolate and flowers. To me I couldn't ask for more.

First year together he had me read the Valentines in the news paper. Thought there was one for me. Nope
Second year "It's for people that are engaged."
Third year, we were engaged. "It's for couples that are married"
Married this time. Yep he forgot.
Second married year he tried to make up for it.
One year I got TV trays he was so proud of them.
26 years later there have been lots of Valentines. What I have always wanted is a Heart Shaped box of candy and flowers.

I just love your banner!!! The new products are so much FUN!! For my great Valentine's was a Diamond heart shaped necklace that was such a surprise it really showed me the love my husband has for me and me him. It was during a time when this would have been the very last thing I ever would have expected. I can't wait to wear it again on Valentine's Day this year.

Love the banner! I think my best Valentine's gift was during my freshman year of college. My boyfriend (who is now my husband) had just enlisted in the military so I wasn't expecting anything. On Valentin'e day, some beautiful flowers had showed up at my dorm- before he left the month before, he had asked his mom to order them for him.

I love the banner. I feeling inspired! My best valentine's day was with my ex. I came home from work and he had made dinner for me. For dessert he had made homemade chocolate covered strawberries. I got a rose with the strawberries. He then went and did the dishes.

love it! now I want to make a banner of my own! The best V-day present I've ever gotten was the first one after we got married. DH was stationed in Afghanistan and they had a bazaar come thru every couple of weeks and one of the men would do wood burnings of pictures. My husband had a wood burning done of one of our engagement photos and sent it to me for Valentine's Day.

This may sound like an awful present for Valentine's Day but it has been a true blessing - 5 years ago I had a spinal fusion on Valentine's Day. I am sure that my surgery and being in the hospital for a week was not pleasant for my husband and daughters but the relief from pain is wonderful!

Great Banner Tresa. Can't wait to do one. The best Valentine's gift I ever received was a gift from above, my wonderful husband Todd. We met on Thanksgiving evening and he proposed on Christmas Eve. The very next spring, we had a small but elegant Valentine's wedding. We are celebrating our 6th amazing year together this Valentine's Day.

Tresa, your banner is GORGEOUS! I am so inspired by you, all the time really, and I forget to tell you. Love your art; love your blog. I am so proud of CTMH for all their new products. I think this is the best release they've had in a while. I love seeing what you do with it!

I do not need to be in the running to win the stamp set (have it!); just wanted to share my appreciation with you.

Yours in craftiness,
Margaret (your ex-German, current-Kansan, soon-to-be-from-somewhere-else hobbyist downline)

I would love to win this set! I always ask for crafting supplies for every holiday/birthday and a date night (which is rare with a 4 year old)! I used to ask for jewelry, but rarely wear it. Sometimes shoes or a purse, but I have a lot. So, my guilty pleasure is scrapbooking/stamping supplies....a girl can never have too much, LOL!!

My best Valentine's gift ever (besides the precious handmade cards my boys gave me over the years) has to be a 2002 Impala that hubby gave me in 2003. It will be hard for him to ever top that. Still driving it.
