Father’s Day Linky Party

Friday, June 17, 2011

Finally able to share a new piece of artwork! I know it’s been a little sporadic ‘round here on Fabulously Artsy, but I promise it’ll get better.

Since Father’s day is right around the corner, I’m throwing a last-minute Linky Party! Add your Father’s day crafty goodness to join in. Anything goes – cards, scrapbook pages, gifts, etc. It must be a craft project, and it must be related to Father’s day. That’s it!

fathersday
My hubby is a born explorer, always on the go. I wanted something a bit different for a Father’s Day card, so I chose this retro/whimsical car & trailer from the Let’s Go Camping set.

The stripes are strips of cut cardstock. A gluestick is my secret weapon to get those stripes to stick without getting adhesive on the front or sides. Make the piece a little too big, then carefully trim the top and bottom off with an X-acto blade, for super tidy edges.

Now it’s your turn! Share your Father’s Day projects!

Thanks so much for hosting such a fun party! Sorry that I linked up twice with the same project; I didn't mean to! LOL

GREAT card as always Tresa! (especially love the realistic look of the "silver metal" camper, too cool)! I've added a link to my blog and look forward to seeing and enjoying everyone else's artwork too!!

Thanks for letting us share artwork! My control freak computer picked the wrong photo so "Tools & Movies" actually has nothing to do with teal ribbon on a black background. :)

Tresa, I can honestly say that after having met you at CU, this card definitely shows your personality! Love it. Have a great time at Convention. Wish I was going to be there. Next year!
