This flower is HOT!

Well, at least while I was making it. See, it’s a singed flower, which uses an open flame from a candle in order to get those deep, dimensional petals.

I used the new Close to My Heart Slate Satin Polka Dot ribbon and a wee bit of the Black Tulle Ribbon to create this eye-catching embellishment. You can find the link to a (rather long, sorry) video on the singed flower technique here.

Lovely flower! Have thought of trying this but I am a little bit scare of the open flame part. :/

Just GORGEOUS, Tresa. This would make a great technique class. I made a ton of singed flowers last year for barrettes and see I'll have to use them for my cards, too!
Thank you for your constant inspiration!
