Because I’m Happy, CU post #3

Just a quickie post today!
Know why I’m so happy? I’m packing my suitcase today for a cruise to the Caribbean, lucky me! My husband and I will be taking our first cruise. This is something I’ve wanted to do my whole life and he surprised me by booking the trip several months ago. So I’m happy… and lucky to have such a spontaneous husband!
This card from the card café at Creative University uses on my favorite new stamp sets, Hopscotch alphabet. Love that you get both upper and lower case plus numbers and punctuation.
Shop for Hopscotch alphabet here.
I call this background technique Inky Blocks. It’s so simple, yet so awesome! Stamp a 2”x2” block into an inkpad, then spritz with water. The more water you use, the more ink will transfer to your page. Stamp onto white cardstock, overlapping some areas. Make sure to wipe off your block in between stampings so you don’t water down your inkpad.
Tresa’s Tip: Choose colors that will blend well. When using dye-based inkpads your colors are transparent and will create a third color when overlapping. Keep this in mind when choosing inkpads.
