New Product Blog Hop

Are you looking for inspiration? Join me and other CTMH consultants as we share our creations with new product from the Close to My Heart Spring/Summer idea book & catalog.
I love color, in every shade, tint and hue. Whether it’s bold brights, deep jewel-tones, warm neutrals or 50 shades of grey, I love to mix ‘em, match ‘em and come up with new combinations.
The new Skylark paper packet has a gorgeous assortment of blues, and neutral browns. Plus it features a special edition Skylark Yellow that is only available in this paper pack.
For the card above, I decided I had to create something for my Creative University card class using Skylark Yellow, but I wanted to add a bit more pizzazz to the color scheme. Sorbet was a perfect choice, with its mellow peach tones, not too bold but enough to add a pop of color.
I used the Skylark Yellow B&T paper for the banner, with Sorbet cardstock on the upper half of the card. For the lower half of the card, my CU students will be creating their own patterned paper using a cool technique they’ll learn at camp. Lagoon (blue) and Whisper (grey) complete the color scheme.
I also use one of my favorite new stamp sets, Hopscotch Alphabet. This is a huge set, two carrier sheets in one envelope, with both upper case and lower case alphas, numbers and punctuation. So adorable and versatile, I’ll be using this one often.
