Perfectly Patterned Paper Piecing

Balloon card

I’m a big fan of paper piecing. When faced with an outline stamp with lots of area to fill, I’m a little lazy about all that coloring. Add in the fact that I absolutely love pattern, and you’ll see why paper piecing is often the choice for me.

The beauty of coordinating paper packs like Ariana by Close to My Heart, is that everything, well, coordinates! The perfect mix of colors and patterns make it so easy.

Another bonus about paper piecing is it allows you to easily change your mind. When working on this project, I wasn’t sure what color combination I’d want to use on the balloon. Red balloon, blue balloon, green balloon? So I stamped the same image on several of the lovely B&T papers in the Ariana paper pack and cut them out so I could compare how they’d look on my card. Bonus: I’ve got some leftovers to make more cards!
