Blossom Fabulously Artsy Workshop

Thursday, May 28, 2015

It’s twice the excitement in one blog post! I am thrilled to share my latest Fabulously Artsy Workshop using the Blossom paper pack from Close to My Heart.

For my second big announcement….I’ve updated my website so you can easily see and order any workshops and kits I have available! Yippee!

This new workshop has 8 pages (4 double page layouts) and uses the Blossom paper pack along with the matching Complements stickers. No stamping and no fancy cutting make it super simple to assemble in record time!

No fancy cuts means no cricut machine needed. You can create the entire workshop with just a regular paper trimmer, and the optional border punch of your choice and a circle cutter or punch. I wanted to offer an easy layout collection that doesn’t require any hi-tech tools. Of course, if you want to add more shapes to your layout, feel free to bust out the cricut or die-cuts!

The Blossom paper pack is perfectly suited for those of you who are looking for feminine pages and spring-time colors, but what about boys and brights?

I love getting two distinct looks out of a single paper pack, so you’ll notice that the first two layouts will satisfy your needs for girly-pretty pages with lots of florals and pastels. But the third and fourth set of pages have nary a flower in sight, with a cleaner, more modern look and bright contrasts. One paper pack, two looks!

You can purchase the workshop instructions two ways: get it free with a minimum $25 order on my website, or buy the Workshop Guide alone for $9.99.

Close to My Heart consultants can offer this workshop to their customers when they purchase the consultant option. You’ll receive the workshop guide for you and your customers plus consultant guide to help you plan your own workshop.

One Photo Scrapbook Sketch

Friday, May 15, 2015

I know, I know, I’m late! Last week I promised the newest Fabulously Artsy workshop reveal, but I’m still working on my guides and they need to be absolutely perfect before I can release the workshop.

To tide you over, I’m sharing this scrapbook sketch for inspiration, just for you!

This is a great layout for a single photo, or you can alter the sketch and add a photo in the journal spot, or a small photo in the accent square. Mix it up, make it yours!

Here’s my layout using the sketch.

All supplies are by Close to My Heart. I used papers from Chalk it Up paper pack and In the Pink My Crush book.

Coming Soon! Blossom Workshop

Friday, May 8, 2015

Are you ready for the next Fabulously Artsy Workshop? I’m putting the finishing touches on my newest creation and hope to have it finished sometime next week!

This is an 8 page (4 double-page layouts) workshop, using the Blossom paper packet and Blossom Complements. This paper packet is perfect for spring and summer pages, or anything where you want a soft floral with lively brights. I’ve added rustic appeal with CTMH Kraft cardstock and thick twine, plus a little shine with sequins.

This workshop has no stamping, and only requires basic papercrafting tools. You’ll find a few circles in this workshop, but if you don’t own a cricut, no problem! Use a circle cutter, or my handy full-size templates.

Receive the workshop guide for FREE when you place an order of $25 or more on my website, or buy the guide alone for $9.95.

Close to My Heart consultants who purchase the guide or place a $25 minimum order on my website can request the consultant guide for no additional charge, packed with helpful tips, supply lists, and pricing info to host your own workshop, plus a consultant release to offer your workshop in person AND online.

Check back on my blog for the big release, or visit my facebook page!

Nerd Alert!

Monday, May 4, 2015

May the fourth be with you! It’s national Star Wars day and I’m feeling the nerdy love of a nation of celebrating sci-fi fans.

I’m not ashamed to say I’ve been kind of a geek all my life. I love science fiction, fantasy and comic book art. Thankfully, it’s now cool to be a geek, so anyone can embrace their inner nerd.

Today I decided to create a card just for this special day of geek-hood.

I used the Geek Is Chic stamp set, one of my favorites from the Annual Inspirations Close to My Heart catalog. The paper is from the Wanderful paper pack.
